My ladies get to free range in the afternoons . That way they go to their roost at night without my chasing them down . We would like to get perhaps 8 more. We started with 12 but most were killed last winter when our greenhouse collapsed after three feet of snow and rain. Rhode Island Reds are such spry chickens.
