I love to save seeds. The photo is of a collard plant that has gone to seed. I think that some of my collards and kale bred together . If anyone has knowlege of this occuring please drop me a line. I am not to sure how many seeds a plant like this one holds in its pods but it must be thousands . If you want to grow some yummy ,tender ,salad quality collards send me a S.A.S.E and the Diva will send you some seeds !

Mmmmmmorels. Have you ever tasted fresh morel mushrooms? They have an incredible flavor totally their own. We find a dozen or so every spring.
This is a picture taken in late April and you can see snow on the mountains still. Spring is an extended sort of season in the Pacific North West. One has to embrace all the rainy weather and wear the right gear or get all cold and soggy. This photo was taken on the way home from Hood River Hospital the day after my son's birth. There really is much to be thankful for in this beautiful green world.

Tree frog

This little frog is resting nicely in a peach tree. We love to find these little guys. Sometimes they sleep inside the head of a lettuce... A lucky sign ,to see a tree frog.
This garden is my temple. A meditation spot. A place to communicate with seen and unseen spirits. A not to tidy garden filled with edible treasures. The scarlet runner beans have trapped a bell. A reliance peach tree bends in the foreground filled with half ripe peaches. We have surrounded some of the peaches with ped hose. The kind you use at the shoe store to try on shoes. An attempt to keep the ripe fruit from getting buggy. I will keep you updated on how well this works.
